Grief Coach

Ready to talk with an experienced griever? Know someone who would benefit from talking with me?

I am here to listen, share what has worked for me as a widowed father, and be a part of our collective grief process. As a male, I understand how hard it is to talk about grief and ask for help, but I am sorry to say, we owe it to ourselves and families to do hard things to heal and be our best.

1:1 Grief Coaching

Since my wife’s diagnosis in 2020, I have mostly unwillingly embraced grief work. I knew I owed it to her and our kids to figure out how best to support them.

Having very little experience with loss and grief, I learned as much as I could from books and online content. As a GenX Widower, I have not related well to a lot of content which was more Baby Boomer and older men focused.

I began talking with as many people as possible and leaned into close friends that are trained coaches. 1:1 conversations with them and traditional therapy were most helpful in my processing the emotional toil from this loss.

Now, I want to offer something similar as I have learned more about the experience of grief. There is more to grief than just losing your partner and we need to dig in and sort out different feelings of grief.

Bi-weekly or monthly sessions helped me pause, process emotions and identify some baby steps that I wanted to make. Contact me if you are interested in these offerings:

  • Free Initial Consultation to see if we are a good fit.

  • 6- one hour session package (bi-weekly or monthly): $900

  • 10- one hour session package (bi-weekly or monthly): $1,500

I am currently looking for anyone interested in paying it forward so that I can offer coaching at a discount. I don’t want to turn people away, but also need to be compensated for my time. Please contact me about potential financial support.

My goal is find enough people interested in having group conversations about grief. As a member of a Men’s Group, I have gained so much from sharing what is going on from me, being seen, and also learning from what others experience. I have been so inspired in this safe setting that I want to offer this for men who want to talk about their grief, whether or not they are also widowed. Inspired in part by multiple, helpful reads of “The Group.”
